The Improv Pot is committed to using sustainable practices in all facets of operation, from food production to transportation and waste disposal.
- The majority of ingredients are local and organic when possible. Spices are also organic.
- The Improv Pot is a bike based business, creating zero emissions. Currently The Improv Pot uses a standard bike trailer but will be designing and building a custom kitchen tricycle in the future, designed to carry standard catering and kitchen equipment.
- All food waste is composted at the chef’s home.
- Food cooked for personal chef clients is left in reusable non-plastic containers such as mason jars, Corningware containers, and Tiffin boxes.
- Real utensils are used and plates are made of compostable materials (to be replaced in the future with custom stenciled washable plates).
